  • 11th SIAM Styling & Design Conclave and 09th Automotive Design Challenge

    SIAM’s Styling & Design Group, has been promoting capacity building in the area of styling & design of vehicles and has been striving to develop capabilities in India. Indian market is also maturing at this point in time and customers are increasingly looking at style – shape, color, feel, etc. for their preferred automobiles and therefore the industry is also gearing up to give its best. This Group, amongst other objectives, seeks to build bridges between Design and Styling people in India and their global counterparts to share information of common interest and enhance mutual skills and capabilities through interactions.

  • Indo-Bangla Automotive Show 2017

    Venue : International Convention City Bashundhara, Dhaka, Bangladesh Date : 02-Feb-2017

    Indo-Bangla Automotive Show 2017 is scheduled from 2nd to 4th February 2017, to showcase products manufactured by the members of Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and members of Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA). This event is supported by India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI), The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), Bangladesh Automobile Assemblers & Manufacturers Association (BAAMA), Bangladesh Motorcycle Assemblers & Manufacturers Association (BMAMA).

  • 11th SIAM Looking Ahead Conclave – Doing Business in Challenging Times

    Venue : “Diwan -I- Am”, Hotel Taj Mahal, Mansingh Road, New Delhi - 110011 Date : 24-Jan-2017

    SIAM is planning to organize the 11th SIAM Looking Ahead Conclave, themed ‘Doing Business in Challenging Times’, on 24th January 2017 in New Delhi. The programme is being organized by SIAM Economic Research Group. The Conclave aims to provide insights into the future of the different vehicle segments of the Indian market – Passenger Vehicles, Commercial Vehicles, Three Wheelers and Two Wheelers for the year ahead. The programme aims at bringing together stakeholders to discuss the future of the Auto Industry.

  • SIAM Workshop on GST and its Impact on Automobile Industry

    Venue : Juniper Hall, India Habitat Centre, Lodi Road, New Delhi Date : 17-Jan-2017

    As you would be aware that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) is scheduled to be rolled-out in due course of time, and would have a substantial influence on the business dynamics of the industry, including automobile industry. In order to make the officials of the automobile industry understand the progress made by the Government on this subject, SIAM is organising a Workshop on “GST and its impact on Automobile Industry” on 17th January 2017, in New Delhi.

    Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the premier apex body representing leading Vehicle and Engine manufacturers, is organizing its 56th Annual Convention on Wednesday, 31st August 2016 in New Delhi. The global automotive industry is going through interesting times and we see next generation technologies, like green technologies and driverless cars, becoming realities. While global prices of conventional fuels have come down significantly in recent years, but conventional fueled vehicles are being challenged by activists all over the world and they are finding traction with the political class due to deteriorating air quality challenges being faced by cities across the world. Green is the buzz word, and the world is moving towards adopting greener technologies. Increased focus on Safety too is making an impact on the technological developments in the automotive space and sophisticated electronics is rapidly making inroads in vehicles. On the other hand, the protection of consumer interest is taking centre-stage, especially in developing markets like India. Efforts are being made in India to establish electric vehicle technology. Opportunity has come for the Indian automobile industry to move up and be one of the leaders in the area of green technology.
